[2006/10/14] Hell Within drummer comments leaving
Hell Within drummer Brian "Bubba" Joyce revealed a statement about him leaving the band:
"My decision to leave Hell Within.
About the band.
Ok. first off let me say that I am sooo Grateful for the people who have wrote me and left me with their kind words. For all the fans I have had with the band and other, I thank you for that support. I am sorry for not getting back to everyone right away. This has been a difficult week. I want you all to know that I am absolutly fine, noone has died or been hurt in any way, nor am I in a bad place what-so-ever. I have disscussed this with the guys in full and they totally support my descision and we have NO animosity in ANY way. I love Tony, Isaias, Joe, and Matt more than most of my own family. This has been an INCREDIBLY hard descision for me and I am comforted with their support as well as everybodies. I have made this descision on my own without ANY other outside influence. I did a lot of thinking in the past few months and really felt that my heart was just not in to playing anymore. For many years now (almost 20) I have been playing in bands. I have put a lot of things on the back burner to persue them and NEVER regret one moment. In these most recent years I have been able to experiance the most insane times of my life, Seen the whole country (every inch of it haha), able to get an album sold world wide as well as 2 disks released locally with Twytch, Played in front of thousands of people (sometimes none haha), fuck.. I even got to watch FARGO in FARGO!!!!, and all along met some of the BEST people out there. You all mean a lot to me and I plan on making it out to see you all some how. I have come to a point where I need to just step back and live life a bit. I have recently aquired full possesion of my company (Townsend Auto School) and really need to be here and make it grow to its full potential. There have been many changes in my life this year that have made an effect on me and have some part in this decision, but really, I am just not in it 110% anymore and do not want to have the other guys pull my weight. You will see me at the shows supporting these guys with all I have and I wish them the best of luck. I will be performing these last shows this month so I hope to see as many of you as possible! For the friends and fans I have in New England I really hope to see you ALL at the Manchester show. The NJ show will be my last show and hope to see who I can from that area there!! Again, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me and you WILL see me again in the future, maybe not as a performer, but as a friend!"
